New Crochet Bags and a whole lot more to come!!

Well I thought today as I have a day off work I would stop by and show you a peek at one of our latest products that we have, it has been such a long time since I have blogged that we now have a new range of Linen Cushions, Wooden letters and Lots of different Gift Tags now on sale!

We have decided top stop buying goods from Wholesalers, you know, the stuff that you see in nearly every shop you go into, and concentrate on designing items that you would not find in any High Street store, a few of the items we have we do buy in already made as a blank canvas, but we then print on them to turn them in to something that is unique and very different.

These are made from scratch by us using 100% Linen....

And these are just flying out at the moment, so much that we cant believe how popular they are!!

We have had requests for alternative colours and sizes as well which makes it very exciting doing bespoke orders for customers!!

We are still busy adding new things to our web site but most of our items have been listed on www.andreafays.co.uk if we have talked about something on here that you do not see listed within our store let me know as it may just be a case that we have not got around yet to advertising for sale just yet!

Well as I have a little spare time this afternoon so I am going to get around to visiting some of your blogs, so hopefully catch up with you all later!

Handmade and Personalised Christmas Advent Calender!

Christmas is on it's way!!!!

Apologies if you would rather not discuss it just yet, but it really is, as of today, officially only 80 sleeps until Christmas!!!!!

I wanted to post this out for you all to see and gather some of your thoughts also, I made one of these last year for myself, and so many people commented on it that I thought that I would make some to sell this year, you will be able to read a little more about them here, they do take me a while to make, each fabric square is hand cut and then individually sewn on to a linen fabric backing, but my thought process behind it is that you can put just anything you want into each little pocket and this way steer away from chocolates and sweets should you prefer, my friend is going to be putting hairclips and bits and bobs in hers for her little girl, fab idea I thought! And the pockets are actually big enough to put a couple of bits in, so if you hade more than ond child they could share!

Our Caravan is coming along nicely too now, hmmnn now that winter is on its way lol!!!On Thursday I managed to get all 4 sets of curtains made, I have made them using the Cath Kidston Rosali Floral and Gingham fabric, so hopefully they will be put up this week-end, the trouble is because we stripped the caravan completley out when we first had her, we are having to replace everything, so I need to go and get some curtain rods this week-end to hang then with, pictures to follow!

So, just a snippet of where we are so far with her, the shelf that sits above the worktop, obviously more prettiness will be added to the shelves, but I have not put too many accessories inside her for a minute with her needing to be moved about still for exterior work still being carried out,

And the flooring in retro Black and White squares, and the wall cupboard papered in this beautiful floral paper on both sides! Yummy I think!

When we have done the next few bits I will post with some more pics for you to see, I am so excited, I cant wait to show her to you in all her glory!!

I have today been trying to get my head around setting up a Facebook shop, what a malarky that is! But it seems that it is the way to go now, if you cant beat 'um, join 'um, as they say! Well, I have been trying lets say, will let you know if I ever suceed and get it done!

I hope that you have all been enjoying your week-end so far, we have had lovely weather here today, but is has been on the fresh side if you are out of the sunshine, I dont mind the cold though as long as the rain stays away!

Catch up with you all again very soon!

Teddies in the sun! And my lovely Girl!

We live in an old house with a very large inglenook fireplace, which, when its lit it does look lovely on a cold winters evening, except because it is so large it does create alot of dust, and everything seems to just get covered in dust & soot after a period of time. These two had been sitting quite happily, I thought, at the bottom of our stairs, but whilst doing a bit of late spring cleaning the other day, I happened to pick them up and realised actually how dirty and dusty they really were, the label said to Sponge Clean them, but to be honest I dont think that would have done very much, they needed more like a good old scrub, so there was only one thing for them, the washing machine, yikes!! Breath held as I poured in the cleaning fluid, wondering what they were going to come out looking like after being spun around in the drum, I did put the machine on a 'Delicate' wash, oh well, fingers crossed I thought as in they went!!!

But actually I was quite surprised how they came out, I could actually do with putting them in a tumble drier on a cool cycle to get them back fluffy, but maybe by turning the hair dryer on them later will get the same sort of effect?!

In the meantime they get to bask in this gorgeous sun!!

I just wanted to show you also the reason for me not being around lately....

We have just been so busy with them, they can be found here, I believe most of our customers are using them as Place Cards at their Wedding as they seem to be being purchased in bulk, which is a real honour to think that something we have created is being used as part of someone's special day! I guess thay are also quite handy to keep in a drawer so that you always have some tags spare should you need one to attach to a gift!

Here is a pic of my grown up girl basking in the sunshine at the week-end, we heard some sad news at the week-end that her poor mum had to be put to sleep at the young age of 6, which is just awful, I know it is never easy when the time comes but at 6 you would like to think that they were still going to be part of your family for a few more years!

And although Katy doesn't know it yet, but we are going to hopefully find her a nice gentle Chocolate Labrador boyfriend so that she can have a litter of her own pups in a couple of months time!

And I do so hope that they will turn out just like she was....

This was taken just after she was rescued from the pond, she did, and still does so love the water!!

Oh, look at that lovely pink tummy lol!!!!

Right, I am going to read my copy of this months Country Homes and Interiors next I think, I got bitten on my leg at the week-end by a nasty horse fly and my leg has swollen so much that I had to take a trip to the doctors yesterday and they have told me to completely rest it and keep it up high to help the swelling, it is quite nice actually not doing anything at all except rest, I don't get to do it very often, how long I can sit down and not do anything for though will be interesting, it sounds good for a short period of time, but then I get sooo bored! Hey Ho, lets hope its better tomorrow!
